Ephemera.
Crimpled candywrapper (flattened), with the wordplay "A Guest + A Host = A Ghost" created by Marcel Duchamp for William Copley printed black on the glossy green paper. 13.7x13.7 cm.
Created on the occasion of the William Copley's show at Galerie Nina Dausset, Paris, at the entrance of which this Duchamp's ephemera was distributed during the opening. Quite rare, not in Schwarz.

A black leather covered box, with name of the artist and title printed in red, 30.5x24.6x3.6 cm, containing: 1) A 4 pages + cover booklet, with reproduction, in facsimile, of the printing and edition size information of the Arturo Schwarz book "La Mariée Mise à Nu chez Marcel Duchamp, même", and of pages 578 and 579 of the M. Duchamp' works catalogue raisonne, a text in french by the publisher, G. Fall, and the printing and edition size information. 28,7x21,1 cm. B) 1 original lithograph in colors, created by Marcel Duchamp for the copies of the deluxe edition of the Arturo Schwarz's book "La Mariée Mise à Nu chez Marcel Duchamp, même", published some years after, in 1974, but without this lithograph finally issued in this edition. Mounted and framed on a strong brown cardboard plate. 28.5x21.8 cm. C) 2 lithographic printings on both sides of the same plate, two preliminary drawings for the Anaglyphic Chimney. 27.7x21.8 cm. D) Stereoscopic glasses. Signed by Teeny Duchamp. Editions Georges Fall, Paris, 1995. Edition of 100 + 10 numbered copies, signed by Teeny Duchamp in the colophon page of the booklet. Introduction by the publisher, Georges Fall: "As specified in the french edition of the Arturo Schwarz's book "La Mariee Mise a Nu chez Marcel Duchamp, meme" that we published in 1974, Marcel Duchamp had realized for this edition a lithography to accompany the deluxe copies, the edition size proposed was from 1 to 100 copies + 10 Artist Proofs. Today, this edition is, at last, released. With respect for the original project, the present edition comes with stereoscopic glasses by the Editions Vuibert, which, Duchamp, with a care for perfection, had purchased and brought himself to us. We add to this set: a lithographic printing of the preliminary drawings for this "Anaglyphic Chimney", on both sides of the plate; two reproductions of pages 578 and 579 of the catalogue raisonne of the Duchamp' works, titled The Complete Works of Marcel Duchamp, issued in 1974 at Editions Harry N. Abrams Inc., New York, under the direction of Arturo Schwarz. Rony Van de Velde, Antwerp, Belgium, has brought us the documents in colors and has allowed us to reproduce the preliminary drawings for the Anaglyphic Chimney, drawings which are part of his private collection. We are particularly grateful to Mrs Teeny Duchamp who has accepted to sign the present edition and has supported us in the realization of our project".
