Catherine Chevalier-Chenu, born on the 6th of August 1960, in Dinan (Côtes d'Armor). 1978 to 1981 studied at the Tréguier "Académie d'Art". 1981 obtained her baccalauréat in philosophy/arts. 1981 to 1983 first year of fine art in Quimper, followed by a second year in Rennes; obtained her "Certificat d'Initiation Plastique". 1984 to 1985 puppeteer with the group Termajie. 1986 opened her own workshop. 1988 started working with clay.
