Relax in our traditional red-brick maison bourgeoise set in nearly four acres of grounds in rolling countryside, close to the peaceful hamlet of Aubry-le-Panthou. Set on a hillside known as La Pognandière on a quiet country lane with lovely views over Normandy's beautiful Pays d'Auge, our friendly bed and breakfast (B&B) is ideally placed for sightseers, tourers and those seeking a restful retreat away from it all.

Dating from the 19th century, the house was formerly the residence of the village mayor, Victor Boisson, and his wife Adéline. She had previously been married to Joseph Polidor Pogniand, and it is from him that the name La Pognandière derives. Victor and Adeline's son Joseph also lived here and, when his father died in 1899, he became France's youngest ever mayor at the age of just 25. He was to serve for a record 60 years and wrote a short book about the German occupation of the village in the Second World War, containing many references to the house.
