The « Clos de la Barre » is situated directly on the village main square. Basly is, 5 Km from Courseulles sur mer and the new Canadian Juno Beach museum, - 4km from St Aubin sur mer with its Casino, 3km from the Canadian cemetery of Reviers, 5km from Douvres-la-Délivrande, the English cemetery and the beautiful Basilica. Caen and the Memorial of Peace are less than 10km away. Access roads leading to Le Clos de la Barre

Basly is the perfect central point to visit the Côte de Nâcre, the Bessin, the D-Day beaches and the lower Normandy in general. To the East, Honfleur is about one hour drive away and to the west, the « Pointe du Hoc » where the Texas rangers climbed the cliff. To the south, the Swiss Normande and Falaise are less than an hour drive. Bayeux is at 25mn drive. We are at the centre of it all. Click to see the TOURIST ROUTES we have prepared for you.

On the first floor, we can propose, four choices of room sizes and prices - all with total comfort: complete en-suite bathroom with shower or with full bath and separated shower, toilet, hairdryer. We also offer rooms with 90cm twin beds. The Rose bedroom has a large bed of 1.80 m or two twin beds of 90 cm each. All beds are 2m long.All our bedrooms are soundproof and fully insulated. Breakfast is served from 8.00am till 9.30am in the library lounge where during chilled evening  you can relax in front of the fireplace. The fully-fitted kitchen will allow you to prepare light snacks or reheat precooked meals. Washing and drying machines are available.

"Le Loft", our 70sqm² family size flat (2 to 6 people) is available to rent and has all the comfort of home away from home, it is located on the second floor. All house linen and bed linen are provided.

 Parking is available in quantity in front of the « Clos de la Barre » on the village square.

- Price is based on two people sharing a double bed, European breakfast included.

- This is a non smoking house, an outdoor terrace is provided.

- No "table d'hôtes" meal are catered for.
