Local details

Flight period: Late April to late May, then early July to mid-August.

Habitat: Meadows and clearings.

Status: Uncommon. Scarce in August.

Sightings of this butterfly are very few during the flight period. There were several individuals flying in the Drôme, however, where the mating pair were photographed.
