The term"localization" (English : "localisation") or l10n is an anglicism : it is derived from the adjective "locale", which relates to all the cultural references of one language.
An equivalent term is the term "internationalisation" or i18n which covers all the localization processes toward the maximum number of target languages (distinct from the source language).
It consists in translating all the text resources of a software, a web site, an on-line help, without forgetting the captions included (sometimes embedded) in graphics.
Sometimes a "cosmetization" process is required, when the cultural references of the target language require to observe certain conventions. (Colors to avoid or preferrable to use because related to customs, specific icons related to fundamental concepts in the target culture.)

A detailed quotation of the job will be estimated, depending on the type of job to perform, its complexity, its technical requirements (required output format (e.g e-book), preservation of the links integrity within a volume and between volumes, graphics localization).
The quotation will clearly separate:
Freelance translator since 2005, I have completed many translation jobs for translation agencies in France, in UK, in the USA
(A Business World, Comms Multilingual Ltd, COMSYS LLC Boston, Burg Translations, MC2-Translate). Above all, I have an extreme requirement of rigor and precision for my work.
I have translated many technical documents, including big-size technical manuals and online helps as well as documents related to Communication and to the Coaching of Business Leaders.
I would like now to focus on translating all kinds of scientific supports (books, web sites, papers), especially in the pluridisciplinary research area on complex systems (Biology, Physics, IT, Medical Research, Neurosciences, Cognitive Sciences). I would also like to write summary papers related to these studies.
