All but 6, for which the type specimens have since been discovered by Ingo Breuer at Berlin-Dahlem, are designated as lectotypes. For those requiring an up to date compilation of descriptive and bibliographical detail, this account has considerable value but it has few illustrations and none in colour. Guide to the Aloes of South Africa has many good colour photos but brief descriptions compared with Flora of Southern Africa, Aloe. Do you need both! 7⅛" x 9½", 172 pages, weight 450 g, card cover.
