American Volunteers in Bois-le-Prêtre |
| At the begining of the WW1, young American
students came to Europe and take part in military medical [called "sanitary
" at the time] operations as ambulance drivers. Sanitary Section Number 2 (SSU2) was based for 10 months in the town of Pont-à-Mousson , from April 1915 to January 1916. In 1915, they evacuated the wounded soldiers of Bois-le-Prêtre . |
