1943 Mixed Moroccan Groupment (GMM)

12,000 men under General Guillaume, divided into 4 Tabor Groups (GTM) each with 51 French Officers, 170 other French Personel and 2,680 Moroccans, organised with

• 1 Command Goum including 20 Mounted Riflemen

• 1 Heavy Weapon Goum

  • 2 x Heavy MG

  • 4 x Light MG

  • 3 x 57mm AT guns

• 3 Tabors

  • 1 Command Goum including 30 Mounted Riflemen

  • 1 Heavy Weapon Goum

    • 2 x Heavy MG

    • 3 x Light MG

    • 4 x 81mm Mortars

  • 3 Infantry Goums each with 150 men incl. 10 Mounted

    • 2 x Heavy MG

    • 7 x Light MG

    • 1 x 60mm Mortar

Note:
- Equiped with few motor vehicles, the GTM were particularly suited for mountain warfare, each including 370 saddle horses and 400 Mules.
