Born
and bred in the Netherlands, I emigrated to France in
1998.
In the Netherlands:
Six
years of study of Dutch, English, French, Mathematics,
Three years of study of German, Physics,
Chemistry and so on resulted in a diploma of Secondary modern
school.
Four
years of study of Electronics resulted in a Secondary Technical
School diploma.
After
that, four years of working experience in a hospital
and nine years at the University of Amsterdam improved my professional
knowledge.
In France in the Ardeche:
During the first years I took
care of my children. After
that my husband (who’s a Frenchman) and me took
over a little farm. Thanks to this work
I learned a lot about the terminology that belongs to (ecological) farming,
alimentation
(preparation and sale of preserves) and mechanics (reparation of
vehicles).
My
children (a daughter of seventeen and two
sons of six and seven years old) are bilingual. I speak
principally Dutch with them.
