My dolls are in Porcelain biscuit, or in Polymer clays. It is, for the majority, one of a kind doll which I realize completely (sculpture, moulding and casting (for porcelain), firing, painting, assembly, sewing and knitting).
I like each of these materials because they are radically different to work and this variety is convenient for me at the moment.
I realize only one of a kind doll for the polymer clays. One of a kind doll and series limited to 7 copies maximum, for the porcelain (numbered series of Artist, with a unique dress for each of them). These small series are novelties and the first dolls will be born very soon !
Naturally, the creation of an original work in this material is a long, complicated and expensive operation. What explains that every doll asks me one time of endless manufacturing ! But, in spite of the technical and material constraints which it represents, the results pleases me and it is the main thing !
About Polymer clays, I like its transparency and its natural aspect. Furthermore, there are no more constraints of moulding and casting, what leaves more freedom with the sculpture. It does not require either firing in ceramic oven with very high temperature. Thus a considerable saving of time and a material pleasant to work for an incomparable result !
These dolls are not toys but sculptures of fixed children. They are for adults collectors. They are the fruit of my passion and my imagination. I fink my inspiration in magazines, on TV, a child crossed in the street … In brief, everywhere ! They are also the reflection of my feelings and my sensibility of the moment. I make these dolls for my pleasure and I hope through them, make you share my enthusiasm.
