Company ProfileDevelopTrak Limited was formed by industry veteran Simon Prytherch. Simon recognised from his own experiences that there was a need for real advice from people that have a wealth of practical game development knowledge. DevelopTrak is a talented team of industry experts. The team includes a producer, a lead designer, a lead artist/art director, a lead programmer and audio engineer. Simon is a rare blend of project management, creativity, technical knowledge and commercial awareness, backed by 20 years of game industry experience. Simon has lead multiple teams in developing AAA titles and has a proven track record in establishing and maintaining successful brands from first concepts. For the last three years he has been responsible for all of Empire Interactive’s development (internal, external and QA). Simon was responsible for maintaining a wide portfolio of games with an annual development budget of approx $12million. It culminated in the recent sale of the company to Silverstar. Previously Simon spent seven years at Codemasters where he had considerable influence over their commercial success and helped them become one of Europe’s leading publisher/developers. As Studio Head (Executive Producer) at Codemasters he managed a studio of eighty people to produce fifty sku’s with an annual budget of $8million. Simon built a successful studio from nothing, with all the structures and project management needed to support two franchises (LMA Manager and Club Football). Simon possesses excellent communication skills and has considerable experience in reporting and presenting at board level. He has the ability to mould staff structures, implement processes and manage creative teams to ensure delivery of quality games on-time. As well as running his own development company for 7 years, Simon has worked as a programmer, designer, audio engineer and artist before taking executive management roles. This wide experience enables him to appreciate and communicate with all staff whatever their discipline. Simon is currently on the Advisory Board for Codeworks GameHorizon, the business network for the games industry in the North East of England. Also as consultant expert for ELVI (Environment for Lucrative Interaction) in Finland, Simon runs workshops, seminars and assesses developer applications for funding. |
