Danielle,

I want to thank you for the wonderful day that Elliott and I spent with you earlier this month.
Given the circumstances of our need for a guide at the last minute, we were extremely fortunate to encounter your son Trevor,
who willingly contacted you to determine your availability.

Elliott has not stopped talking about his trip to his friends and family.
He frequently mentions you, especially enjoying the retelling of your personal stories of family members during the war
and recollections of your childhood in the immediate area. He's currently working on a paper for his English class
- sort of "What I did this summer." His mother is delighted that he chose to write about his trip.
He has worked on this project for the past several days - giving it his full attention and seeming to enjoy every bit of the time spent.

You were an excellent resource for him and he has commented several times that we were most fortunate that our previously
contracted guide was unable to meet his commitment. From my point of view, you knew exactly what Elliott would enjoy
and did a superb job of reinforcing his reading and prior learning by asking questions and giving him relevant hints so that he
felt proud of what he was learning.

I have already mentioned your work to my travel agent so you may get some inquiries from Ohio travelers in the future.
Thanks, again, for making our visit special.

I had a great visit in Normandy and a great experience that I will remember forever!
Thanks for spending a day with me showing me the so many special places. Your knowledge and personal experiences made the tour especially meaningful. I haven't had time to speak to Carol about how much I appreciated the time with you, but I will brag on you. I also have recommended you to several people
who are considering a visit to Normandy. I have several pictures to send to you and need an address.

Please provide me an address for me to forward them. I am excited about sitting down with my dad and reviewing the over 200 pictures that I took. The second day allowed me to visit some other meaningful places like the Pegasus Bridge, Juno Beach, etc. and to return to special point of interest like the American Cemetery, OmahaBeach and many of the little communities along the coast. Danielle, it was a great pleasure and honor to meet you and I look forward to another time together.

Danielle you made our trip to Normandy perfect and we appreciate all you did and who you are.
Seeing so much would not have been possible without you. It was fun meeting Trevor and chat. The rest of the trip went well albeit it's great to be back home.
We shall need a few days to chill and reorganize. As promised enclosed a photo of Evan. Could not resist the Isigny butter label Did I tell you we are on a diet !!!!!

Dear Danielle
we are so sorry that your vlies ended up in Akers' bag but we are sending it back to you tomorrow and hope you will get it soon.Elisabeth and I want to know you how greatly we enjoyed the Normandy/Bretagne week with you. During our time in Paris we took our children to Mt. St. Michel several times and always visited D-day sites on our way but, as we now realise, got only very superficial impressions of the dramatic historic events that took place there. So, your very competent explanations gave us really
thorough history lessons. Since our last visit a lot has been done to give the visitor breathtaking impressions and the visitor centers in Pegasus, Ste. Mère and Utah
enhance the educational effect of these visits.
But we also appreciated the visit of the towns, the tapistries and your tours through Bayeux, Caen etc.
Mt. St. Michel being one of the seven original wonders of the world is always overwhelming, this time even more so thanks to your explanations

Donna and I just wanted to thank you again for a wonderful tour of Normandy. Needless to say, any tour of the area is memorable, but you made it even more so.

Tom and I really enjoyed Rouen too, I thought the cathedral was awe inspiring and I liked the Joan of Arc church as well. From a distance,

We arrived home in Healdsburg, CA this week and just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful time we had with you visiting Normandy.
We even enjoyed the rain and cool weather after the heat in Paris. Our whole trip was wonderful, but the time we spent in Normandy was very special to us.
We have told the Ziedrich's all about it, including photos. I am sure we will one day return and hopefully spend a week in your beautiful part of France.

I am finally home, have cleared my desk, etc. and want to thank you for a delightful tour of Normandy. EVERYONE appreciated your efforts. You did a magnificent job,
especially since you were so sick. I felt very sorry for you having to work under those conditions, but one would never have known it - you hid it well. The group compared
all the guides the rest of the trip to you, and they came out wanting. You were a hard act to follow.

Jean-Pierre did a wonderful job, too, and the group adopted him the rest of the trip. He walked around Honfleur with us, and I translated, which ended up being a nice experience.
All worked well the rest of the trip. Again, thank you so much. .

I shall recommend you to everyone and anyone who will listen and hope to see you sometime in the future. I hope our group compensated you appropriately
