This 3 star holiday home for 4 people was originally an old barn constructed of local stone. In 2002 it was tastefully restored and now shows the original wooden beams. The owners, Jan & Marie-Agnès Duijs-Lange (of Dutch & French origin), live on-site in the former small farmhouse which has also been transformed into a charming dwelling. The gite covers 60 m², and has a visible framework of light pine. The walls, made of pale stones, harmonise with the leather and marble of the furniture. They are complemented by an attractive terrace of local gravel which is pleasantly decorated with flowery bushes and shadowed in the summer. In the direct vicinity is a large swimming pool (12/6 m) and a Turkish bath (for 2 persons). All of this is surrounded by predominant woods and the meadows that cap the hill of Pech Cujoul.
Full accommodation details: Living Room comprising: Leather armchairs, occasional marble tables, radio with cassette tape recorder, satellite TV, DVD player, video. Dining corner and American-style Kitchen comprising: microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher. Bathroom comprising: shower, wash basin, toilet. Bedroom 1 comprising: 2 separated beds (2,00/0,90m) with slatted base, duvet and sheets. Bedroom 2 comprising: 2 beds put together (2,00/0,80m) with slatted base, duvet and sheets. Bath House made of local stone situated next door comprising: toilet, shower, Turkish bath with shower and jets, washing machine, tumble drier, spin drier, hair-drier. Located near the holiday home and adding to its comfort are a fountain and an outside sink. The owners private bar is at the disposal of guests for the use of its following items: traditional ovens, espresso coffee machine, sophisticated cooking utensils, darts, mountain bikes, BBQ, long chairs, cast iron garden furniture, hammock, bowls for the French game of pétanque, croquet, etc. In short, everything is provided for a most enjoyable stay in an haven of nature and tranquillity. This holiday home has underground heating and is open all year round It can be rented during the low season by the night or for a week-end only. Well-behaved pets are accepted, as are smokers.
