All About The Money
H ad the latest unfolding of events right in the center of the Philippine Congress struck you to the bones? Or the events happening now in Mindanao worries you a lot? If so, then you should still consider yourself a normal person. These things in the midst not only signify that there are still a lot of things to be done than mere window dressing for the Erap led government. But also meant that we Filipinos are aware of the situation.

Have you seen how the Philippine government is reacting to opinions or to valid criticisms these past few weeks? Personal. They seem to take very personally. But are they really true in their statements about being hurt with these tings? Well here nobody's buying the idea. Some are even advancing the theory of self-infliction, the method of exacerbating the wounds to get the desired pity. To get the appearance of being unfairly assaulted from all fronts.

The facts largely discredit the government claim of unfair criticism. The guards loyal to the Prez were all sacked due to popular protest and in some way or another, but they were also involved in scams and other misdemeanors. Their departures were not made because the Filipinos say it so. But merely because the merits of the case far outweighs there retention. Spilling them out lightens the government exposure to corruption and mismanagement. Even at least for the appearance thereof.

It was not so far ago, the last Philippine Presidential election of the 19th century, pit the mightiest of words and talents among every candidates. Program of action and plans of governance were so presented in its broadest term. Pure as white, including the ABC’s of the basic Filipino problem. Social safety nets for the poor, alleviation of poverty, security against unemployment and the likes. War on the drugs and education for all, was nothing more than a political cliché.

Barely a year later, after those malicious promises and fallacious reasoning. The masquerade has stopped. As what we have learned from the Marcoses, once the government begins to lie, it will die lying. There is no adequate wholesome plan to alleviate the poor Filipino lives.

But what is intriguing aside from those failed promises? How can they sustain feeding the Filipinos more tricks to supplant failing ones? Rhetoric’s long ago rejected as being politically motivated and never really intended for the masses, is beginning to blossom. The running paradox of the dismantling of the US. Military Bases in 1986 and the ratification of the VFA in1999. Should have made Sociologists and some global analyst revised their thinking about the Philippine leadership. A freed colony or a Republic infected with parasitic leaders sustained and fed by a handful few corrupt individuals.

Yes the Philippines did have a his story of a dictatorship. Though it differs very greatly from its Asian counterparts. It was a very sad situation. As to happen such a thing to a small country, like the us. Was not only counter productive but also fatality for the generation to come. For aside from the economic looting and state guaranteed protection of looters. Morality and trust was also decaying. Not among the young itself but also among leaders. In Cory Aquino’s term of office, at least six coup d’etat has surfaced.

The Marcos dictatorship left behind a shadow and a stigma. Real problems were supplanted by false arguments. And mass protest where always considered subversive. Treating anybody seditious when questioning the role of the authorities. While maligning the church's sermon for the poor is going on daily. Student debates and the popular mass protest were considered seditious.

If the Estrada led government will do the same…
