Battlefield Historian...

My name is Gilles LAGIN. I was born in Chateau-Thierry and I live in the little village of Marigny near the famous Belleau Wood. Owing to my great passion in the battlefields around Belleau Wood for more than twenty years, I am considered to be an expert on the American participation in this area. I know the locations of all the old trenches, dugouts, all places and their history concerning Belleau Wood, Chateau-Thierry, the Marne salient and its area ( many of these places are untouched since 1918 ).

I'm intending to create a memorial museum to these battles and to the American Expeditionary Forces in 1918.
